Honest mechanics that go above and beyond, and they let you know what you need to get done and what can wait. Have been going to these guys for years. Towed my car from Hartford area to Cardinal two separate times because I trust them. When you find an honest mechanic, it's hard to go anywhere else.

My vehicle broke a tie rod right in front of their shop, right in the middle of the intersection. They came over and towed me out of the intersection right away with no requirement that I get the car fixed there. I decided to let them fix it since the car dealership always rips me off for extra services anyway. They stayed overtime so they could get the part from their parts place and fixed the car lightning quick. I was expecting at least an $800 bill (what it would have been at dealership minimum) they only charged me a couple hundred for the part and labor, which as I said included them staying past their normal closing time. They definitely had me over a barrel and really could have charged me almost anything, but were honest and only fixed what needed to be fixed. They didn't try to say well since we are changing one side we should really change both and all the other crap the dealerships do. That was many years ago and the vehicle has been great ever since. Just needed to look them up now on Google because I have a coolant hose broken somewhere and I am having them come get it to fix it, so I figured I would leave a review while here. I will add another or update this one after this service is done.

I have been a customer of Cardinale Auto Services for many years. They are a superior automobile repair shop that is consistently honest and respectful. Problems with vehicles are accurately diagnosed and explained. Repairs are conducted properly and thoroughly, and costs are fair. They will not try to manipulate or up-sell you or cherry-pick issues with your vehicle to address. It would be difficult yo find another shop that matches their character and performance. From my home in Shelton, CT, I happily drive passed several other reputable shops in route to their location on North Avenue in Bridgeport to continue my patronage. Go check them out!

Great communication, great service, honest and fair prices. Diagnosing the problem is really the skill most mechanics lack. Tony is one of the best in the business at figuring out what is wrong and fixing the right thing, rather than just throwing your money at parts until a problem goes away. We've been using Cardinale for a few decades now and couldn't be happier.

John and Tony, Have now been servicing my cars for three years. I cannot have found a better shop with more reliable service, they and the staff are courteous, fair on pricing and do outstanding work. Not one issue with one repair done on any car or truck to date.

These folks take the stress out of dealing with car maintenance and repairs. They always thoroughly explain the problem and all the options and possible solutions. My husband has been going to Cardinale Auto Service for years, and I started going there a few years ago. Tony is the absolute best! He is fair and totally honest with all of his clients. We drive for 45 minutes to go there, because we won't go anywhere else. Their work is top notch!
